Top skin care tips to keep your skin glowing during the winter

December 21st, 2011 by Kawji

A lot of individuals struggle during the cold winter months to keep their skin have that radiant glow. Here are some tips that we learned from the top skin experts:

Switch in favor of boosting hydration

As you tear off the summer months from your calendar, say goodbye to your oil fighting toners, moisturizers, and cleansers. Winter months mean go for products which can boost hydration of your skin. During winter, the skin loses a lot of its luster and really gets dry.

Move, move, move!

We look great during the summer because we tend to take in a lot of fluids and do our exercise rituals more often. So during the fall and the winter, make sure that you still drink a lot of water and as often as possible, exercise. You do not have to work out outside but enough to get your sweat out and your blood circulating.

Something extra during bath time

You might want to always bath in hot water during the cold, breezy months, but warmer water dehydrates our skin. You can use warm water with some additive to help rejuvenate your weather-struggling skin. Some colloidal oatmeal might help or you can also coat your skin with some essential oil after bath time or after towel-blotting.

Power wash

Your skin is like glass which needs regular cleaning and polishing so it would glisten. You need to exfoliate to get rid of the dead skin cells which make it look dull. You can use some cleanser with glycolic acid to reveal the younger layer of your skin. Consult your dermatologist which products can help you improve your skin tone and texture while controlling breakouts and fine lines.

Now that we have talked about white as a color, let’s move onto something that is a little more spring time and that is coral.  Forever, coral was not considered to be an actual color that people would wear and a color that people would want to wear, but nowadays, times have switched up and changed and constantly, you will see coral pop up.

Coral is an interesting and unique color in my mind, it is something that is different and certainly something that you do not see a whole lot, but nowadays, designers are switching it up and adding in this pinkish/orangish tint to add some flare to their collections.

Whether you are looking for an entire coral outfit or you are just looking for accessories, coral is definitely a great color!
